It is my pleasure to present this insightful commentary on Lord Swaminarayan's Shikshapatri.

Lord Swaminarayan penned the Shikshapatri over a hundred and seventy-five years ago nearing the end of his life. Despite its age, the timeless principles articulated within it remain relevant to humanity today and will likely endure for eternity. These principles are rooted in the Vedas and other revered scriptures of Hindu Sanatan Dharma.

The intention behind the Shikshapatri was to benefit mankind, providing a set of fundamental commandments that are applicable to all Hindus. Its contents have been distilled from various Dharma Shastras such as Manusmruti, Yagnavalkya Smruti, Parashar Smruti, as well as esteemed texts like Mahabharat, Shrimad Bhagwat, and the Puranas.

This edition includes translations in three languages: English, Gujarati, and Sanskrit.
